20 Mar 2010Today’s screencast is a video version of the fifth and last tutorial in the “Creating a Set of Digital Painting Icons” series. “In this tutorial we will demonstrate how to both draw a computer monitor icon as well as a matte image of a city landscape to display on the screen. This tutorial is a great exercise in matte painting as well as icon design and it should give you a fascinating peek into how both techniques are used.” – Andrea Austoni

The wallpaper of this week is an amazing image created by Erik Schumacher, a German student currently studying Physics at the university of Dortmund, specialised in the fields of photomanipulation and space art, but always trying to broaden his skills into other areas such as matte painting and digital painting. Erik is contributor of the Slashthree collective as well.
