Yahoo has a maps feature. I was able to find King's Lynn using Yahoo Maps — UK & Ireland. King's Lynn is between Peterborough and Aylsham.

Just enter Kings Lynn in the "city" field.

Do the same thing for Ambleside. Ambleside is very small. It's north west of Kendal, and south of Carlisle.

Every atlas makes it's own determination as to what it will include and label on it's maps. The nice thing about seaching on line with Yahoo Maps is the zoom feature. You can zoom out to see the bigger picture, and zoom in for more detail, all the way to the street level.

I'm assuming that it will support Java, although being Linux it will run C++ if it is compiled for the phone. I would use Java though, because you won't need to cross compile.
