Twitter Username Land Grab Coming Soon?

In: web resources

The last big land grab was arguably the Great Facebook Vanity URL Rush of ‘09, and according to The Next Web, we might be seeing a similar gold rush for currently locked-up Twitter usernames coming soon.

Although Twitter didn’t specify a date, a spokesperson said they are planning to release usernames that are either inactive or have been deleted by their former “owners.” Right now, policy says that no updates for six months qualifies an account as inactive — but thus far those idle usernames have stayed dormant and unavailable.

Soon though, the sludge pile will be “recycled” and released back to the public. This could result in a virtual stampede as individuals clamor for some of the more coveted Twitter “real estate” now locked up in the dead pool, among them some short and catchy usernames that were claimed early and later abandoned.

We’ll keep our keen Internet eyes peeled for any official word on when the race might kick off. Are there any inactive Twitter usernames you secretly (or not so secretly) plan to squat on?

Look for high calorie healthy foods. Make yourself high calorie shakes or smoothies with fresh ingredients that have lots of calories.

Use baking soda instead of toothpaste. Yes, instead of, not a toothpaste that includes baking soda. It really works, it just gets all the scum off your teeth and makes them cleaner so that your teeth look whiter. The electric toothbrush will help. I have a Sonicare electric toothbrush and it is programmed to brush your teeth for 2 minutes – it stops after that time (though of course you can turn it back on). It makes a noise after every 30 seconds so you spend 30 seconds on each section of your teeth (outer and inner, top and bottom).

I have had success with whitestrips. I don't like the Crest ones much – I've used them several times and they work fine, but they are really flimsy and hard to get to stay in place, so you end up swallowing a lot of the whitener. What worked a lot better for me were Target brand Whitening Wraps – they're made out of a waxy material so they mold to the shape of your teeth and stay in place. I couldn't find em on the Target website, but they sell them at the Target where I live right next to the whitestrips in the dental section.

I don't think any individual could afford to make such an effort practical. Forgetting that for a minute, I know that the nations of the world signed an agreement to make the moon community property, so to speak, sort of like Antartica. I would guess the same principals have been applied to the planets.
