It depends on how close I am to the intersection. If I'm so close that I have to really slam on the breaks, then I speed up and go on through the light. I don't want someone behind me to hit me because I tried to stop for a yellow light! But if I can stop, I try to.

F is standard normal function

F(x-65000/6500) = 0.02

(x-65000)/6500 = F^-1(.02)= -2.05
from the table
=>x-65000= -13325
=>x= 51675 km

so the company must give a guarantee of 51675 km

b) (p>75000) =1- F((75000-65000)/6500) = 1-F(1.53)(get the vale from table)= 1-0.937=.063

P at-least 2 will last = 1- (probability none will last + probability one will last)
=>1- (12C0*(.937)^12+12C1*(.937)^11*.063)
=>1- (.45+.369)
=>1-.819 = 0.18

The CV boots protect the bearings from dirt and debris. You could just replace them, but you have to consider how long has the car been running like this? Your mechanic seems to be giving you a fair deal to replace the axles. You can always get a better deal at a tire shop than a mechanic.
