if you want to be equal you have to fight for your right to be drafted just like the men, to go into battle just like the men et cetera. You have to fight for the things that will make you equal not just the things that you want like higher pay et cetera

Interesting matter. As for personal taste, I'd say that the rhythm/flow of the sentences are a little too slow. I would take another look at your use of "And"s throughout the poem. It seems to me that you are describing of random things stacked up in a corner, which is contradictory for example to the use of a strong verb such as "grasped". The superimposition of "and… and … and" (lulling) doesn't seem to fit well with "grasped by a ghoul", which is a pretty striking, surprising image. Yet the flow was so slow that it didn't really act as a surprise…
There are interesting alliterations, yet the strongest concepts in the poem don't seem to me like they make an impact… "dead" is used a lot, and yet no feeling comes to me when reading it… maybe change the placement? The rhythm of the sentences where used? I like that "dead" reappears in "damned", but the association seems lifeless.
There are strong words in there, like "shattered", but shorter sentences would benefit them, less general terms (like "like", "everything", "dead", "alive", "lifeless", "time", "no one", "things" etc) would make them stand out more. If you could contrast with longer sentences, that's even better (ie instead of saying "slowly" try to make your sentence longer, and with words that, read out loud, would make it slower).
I have been tought that poetry is all about controlling breath. I would say, breath and eye speed (people will be reading your poem). Use longer words when you want to emphasize or elongate, shorter words with strong consonants (like "pl", "cl", "ckle" etc) to make a stronger statement, etc.

Things I really would like to see stay there "hitting the rocks with my lifeless limbs", "interrupte by an unmistakable tune". I like "putrid" because it's so strong.

I truly think you're onto something there, and I hope that you consider this as my personal opinion, meant to help. I've written a lot of poetry and read it… I'm trying to do what I would want someone else to tell me… hope that helps.

If it was defective when you bought it, you should have returned it right away. Better chance of getting a new one. I would try to go to the manufacturer and getting some answers from them. Most of those electronic items have a warranty of 1 year. Good luck.
