I think that's a bit challenging for recipes. For instance, if it says use canned chicken broth, they have no way of knowing the exact sodium content of the broth you choose (which varies wildly, even among low sodium brands). Same thing with anything from a can (tomatoes, beans, etc). So they could really only provide that service for recipies that use only fresh, natural ingredients, or specify 'no salt added' canned products, which are difficult to find.

I agree it's still worth doing, but it certainly would complicate the process of getting the job done. We may have to settle for a subcategory of health-aware recipes where this info is provided, and recipes are limited about what they use.
