The Nielsen Company released its U.S. search rankings for December 2009 earlier today. Of the big three — Google, Yahoo and Bing — Google saw an increase in search share, while both Yahoo and Bing faltered.
Comparing December’s data with some of the measurements from past months seems to indicate that Bing’s marketshare surge was just temporary.
Below we’ve included Nielsen’s data from December 2009 and November 2009. As you can see, Google held a 67.3 percent share in U.S. searches for December 2009. That’s up nearly two full percentage points when compared with the November statistics.
Looking at the charts, it’s clear that this growth came directly at the expense of Yahoo and Bing. Both search engines fell nearly a full point from November to December. Google’s high-profile rollout of real-time search results the first week of December might have had an impact.
Now that Yahoo and Microsoft are officially teaming up for search, both companies will need to start working together quickly if they want to recover and build marketshare. The longer the transition takes, the more Google stands to gain.

Ice skate at Somerset House on the Strand, that's always nice. Christmas lights in the city, Covent Garden is lovely at Christmas time but BRACE for crowds. Harrods is worth a look just for the windows. Great markets at Camden, and in Covent Garden, Portobello Road, but not always "bargains" – though you will see stuff you like! Selfridges is great shopping also, but again, no bargains til after Christmas!

I assume you are using the Yahoo tool bar to do it, by you saying that.
If you want to be selective in what you delete then use the Internet Options > General > Browsing History > Delete > that will open another page and you can select what want to delete >
Temporary Internet Files
Cookies
History
Form Data
Passwords
Each one explains exactly what it deletes.

This sounds like an internet problem, are you using DSL and does your connection stay strong?
Typically, most browser problems arise from people not keeping them clean and organized. You should clear everything every single time you finish using your browser for the day; cache, history, cookies, everything, just bookmark pages you want to remember/save.
Now my biggest recommendation is that you use Firefox, technically speaking, Firefox is absolutely the best, this is fact not opinion, it is the best standards-compliant browser:
Good Luck!
