15 Feb 2010Rebel Music Volume 5 is here. This time I invited Rute Correia to curate this compilation for us. Rute is a 21 year old netaudio enthusiast from Lisbon, Portugal. She produces and hosts an exclusively netaudio dedicated radio show/podcast named “Marca Branca” since 2008, not as often as she would like (because time doesn’t really stretch), writes for Phlow Magazine, is also part of Beats Play Free, a portuguese netaudio supporters community, and she is also the director of the upcoming Lisbon Netaudio Festival. On her own words she is “Not very picky on musical genders, tends to love a little bit of almost everything”.
Rute’s musical taste is fully translated on this new volume of the Rebel Music Series. From the more ambient tracks to the more playful themes this volume is a great example that Creative Commons music is not only about techno or electronica but that it spreads throughout all genres. A special mention goes to the last track from Alexandre Bateiras, that uses the typical Portuguese guitar to take us into a discovery to a new way to interpret Portugal’s traditional music.

As a kid I never really liked that kind of stuff at all but I've definitely grow to! Haven't listened to any foreign stuff as such but do have a lot of Irish rebel music and a lot of Scottish and Cuban stuff too (really like the Cuban stuff)…
A friend of mine has been listening to Bosnian stuff and totally recommends it!

Your question is not completely clear to me, but my best guess is this: You have an Ipod-type device and it's not as loud as you would like. You don't know whether getting new headphones would help. My answer is, I doubt it. You should instead look more closely at the device and see whether you can change a setting to get the volume up some. A different pair of headphones might deliver *better* sound, but probably not signficantly *louder* sound. I suppose there might be headphones with a volume adjustment on them, but I'm not sure how much that would help.
If you're talking about a media player on a computer, there are several ways to bump the volume, either in windows or whatever particular program you're using.

Of this streets that adorn the west, there will be one (I don't know wich) that I have walked now for the last time, indifferent and without guessing, somited.
