Progressive XMLHttpRequest

Kyle Scholz has brought up the topic of progressive response handling in XHR:

Perhaps it’s subtle, but the draft spec for XMLHttpRequest calls for support for progressive response handling:
4.7.6 The responseText attribute

The responseText attribute must return the result of running these steps: 

1. If the state is not LOADING or DONE return the empty string and terminate these steps.
2. Return the text response entity body.

He then goes on to test this out by having a response with delimiters such as:

JAVASCRIPT:

window.aFunction();

window.bFunction();
// — //

and then watching for those in the response:

They usually don't bite out of aggression, usually just bite to eat. She was probably just hungry. 10 weeks is a long time to go without food, even for a snake, were you offering her food that whole time, and she just didn't want it?

She should definitely be handled more than once or twice weekly. If your concerned about getting bitten again, just put a pair of gloves on next time you handle her.

Answering "Amen" and signing the cross is just fine. There is no 'right or wrong' on what you do for that.
