Navigon’s MobileNavigator, one of the first iPhone apps to offer real turn-by-turn GPS navigation, has established itself as one of the best such applications available for Apple’s smartphone.
The latest version of the app (available here) has an option to alert your buddies to your current location via Facebook or Twitter. It also adds an option called MyRoutes, which enables you to create custom routes according to your needs and habits. Finally, Panorama View 3D gives you a 3D terrain view, based on NASA’s data.
The price of the app itself is currently $20 cheaper than before: $69.99. However, if you want live traffic information that’ll cost you an extra $19.99 (promotional price, applies only until the 15th of February), and the Panorama View 3D will cost you an additional $9.99. Put all that together, and it’s 100 bucks; not exactly cheap, but it’ll definitely buy you a full-featured navigation package on your iPhone.

yes, first you need to tape your iphone to the back of your car. Then, set up a complex assortment of mirrors so that you can view your iphone from the drivers seat, if you need to switch camera to gps, it would be smart if you pulled over first.

One of the best iPhone GPS app comparisons out there is this one in the LA Times Tech blog, which should help to make your decision easier:
They rank the TomTom app as the best available: "While all of them are serviceable options for the iPhone, for reliability and accuracy, TomTom was at the top."
One of the main advantages of the TomTom app (which none of the others have) is "IQ routes" — which means that the TomTom will choose different routes based on the day and time.
For example, I live outside of Washington, DC, and b/c of the IQ routes, TomTom will send me straight through the city on a Saturday — but if it is a weekday at 5pm (rush hour), TomTom is smart enough to send me around the city.

The iPhone runs on iPhone OS. The Nokia N95 runs on a Symbian S60 version. You cannot convert an application from one operating system to another operating system, you would have to recreate it completely in a different programming language instead. The native programming language for Symbian S60 is Symbian C++, but you can create content in various programming languages if you please, such as Java, Qt or Python for example. Once you have decided on a programming language, download the IDE and SDK for your Symbian S60 version. You can find documentation on Symbian C++ at the following website:
