When you set out to create a 2.3×2.5 meter image, you usually do it in a good image editor/drawing program. But a 15-year old YouTube user named scorpiongold did it in MS Paint, and it will blow your mind.
The picture is named “My MS paint World”, and it supposedly took 4 years to complete (the author admits he didn’t work on it every day, but perhaps once a week), and it shows: it’s huge, full of detail, very odd, and amazingly imaginative. If you, by any chance, remember an old ZX Spectrum game called “Go To Hell”, the imagery is somewhat similar (and you’re officially not young anymore).

A meter was originally supposed to be one ten-millionth of the distance from the equator to the pole measured on a meridian
Meter was already been used in connection with various measuring devices, such as a speedometer, an ohmmeter, etc.
It comes from the ancient greek word métron, which means measure. To mete out something is to distribute alloquots, especially if they are meager..
