The next few weeks are going to be extremely busy for gadget fans. All reports indicate that the Nexus One — also known as the Google Phone — will be officially unveiled on January 5, 2010 at a Google press event.
Android not striking your fancy? Well Apple will be holding their own media event on January 26, 2010 and some reports suggest that the illusive Apple tablet — perhaps named the iSlate — will be unveiled. Already we’re hearing predictions of 10 million units sold the first year for a product that doesn’t even officially exist yet!
With two potentially huge announcements from two high profile companies, we want to know, what product are Mashable readers most excited to see, the Google Nexus One or the Apple iSlate?
Take our poll and let us know! Also feel free to explain your choice in the comments!

Unless you saved your phonebook onto the SIM card, they won't come up on the new phone anyway. I don't know if this is a phone that your purchased at a gas station or Wal-Mart or if it was actually purchased through like Alltel or something, but if the provider has already changed your SIM card you probably won't be able to retrieve anything. If you did save your numbers onto the SIM card and purchased it from an actual cellular service provider, you may be able to take it into them and they may have the software needed to transfer from the SIM card to the new phone.

The Bamboo is actually made by Wacom, not Apple.
There is no comparison in quality between the cheap DigiPro and the professional quality Wacoms.

You are right to question this. I work in health care admin and over the years I have seen the people who rise to the top of the $$$ game have an advanced degree associated with a license (health care professional). While the person may not need a medical license to hold the high level job, the medical degree opened the door for the person to get to the podium.
There are lots of people who have been successful in public health – but their names are not household names – or are not even recorded.
those whose names are known are usually associated with a lab science where they discovered a process to identify a problem or possible treatment. They aren't paid the big bucks – but loved what they did.
If you can find a $100,000 job in public health, it almost always has an MD after the name, or it is a person who worked 30 years to get there.
The major employers of people with public health degrees are government – or some private reseach places. but they are mainly interested in folks with laboratory skills – and that's not the big bucks end either. Anyone can start their own business – bid on contracts to develop a new this or that – but credibility comes with degrees.
good luck
