Google-Backed Undersea Cable Project Moving Forward

12 Dec 2009

Quite some time ago, Google and a number of other companies announced their intent to create something called the Southeast Asia Japan Cable (SJC).  This week, there was confirmation that the undersea fiber optic project is progressing.

Google LogoBobbie Johnson wrote today, "The agreement to build the submarine cable was first proposed three years ago, but negotiations finally came to a close on Wednesday as officials signed what they promised was a groundbreaking deal."

Bharti (of India), Globe Telecom (the Philippines), KDDI (Japan), Reliance Globalcom (Bermuda), and Telemedia Pacific (Hong Kong/Indonesia) will all be involved in addition to America’s favorite search engine.  As for the cable itself, it’ll stretch between China, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, and Singapore at first, with extensions possible in the future.

The SJC should allow individual and corporate Internet users in the region to transfer information (including ads) at much higher speeds and lower costs.  It might create a couple of redundancies, too, in the event that earthquakes or anchor-dragging ships disrupt existing lines of communication.

The SJC should be completed by the second quarter of 2012.  It carries an estimated price tag of $400 million.

Several problems with the question.

1) You don't know that the U.S. Government is borrowing money from China. It almost certainly wouldn't happen and it would not be publicized.
1a) We have a Trade Deficit with them, not a currency one.
1b) Usually, the government will print more money, increase taxes or decrease spending (in that order).

2)Interest owed on national debt is going to be one of the lowest interest charged to any country because the U.S. is among the top nations in repaying debt. (less risk, less risk premium charged)

3)One of the people who labeled rebate checks "Bush Bucks" and your question have just a tinge of bitterness directed at our president and or government. I am not a big fan myself. To be fair, the U.S. is unquestionably the best nation on Earth and for those who don't like it, drive or fly in any direction long enough and they won't have to be here any longer.

As for the posters who aren't satisfied with the 600 dollars (or whatever it is they receive: If that isn't enough, attain another job, further educate yourself, put in overtime….Do not blame the government because you don't make enough money. That responsiblity rest squarely on your shoulders. The govt did not make you become what you are, you put yourself there. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS.

You have definitely done some research on the topic and discovered the true length of the average male erection. And yes it is just a tad under 6" as verified by a few studies where the men were measured not allowed to self-measure (and possibly exaggerate).

As for differences in size from asian to white to black, the accurate studies found that white guys are in the middle with black men about a tenth of an inch longer and asian men about a tenth of an inch less. Now, I don't know about most people but
I strongly suspect that if one average-size man of each colour was to pararde his erection around for all to see, most people would not notice any difference in length from one to the other unless they were carrying one really accurate ruler.

However with some people there is this need to excel and that drives them to spout off about how much better they are as compared to others. So, for a mere tenth of an inch it seems white guys will brag they are really way bigger than their asian counterparts. However when stacked up against their black brothers, the poor whites are merely window dressing with their bragging since they are a whole tenth smaller.

And of course a large number of Americans also feel that the only way a penis should be presented is with the foreskin removed. We see it in a lot of men's health posts on here where the remedy proposed for most any ailment of the penis is to have it circumcised. Many from the USA have not been exposed to foreskin thus they know little or nothing about it. Thus they state that
a) most men are circumcised – well in specific regions this is true but world wide there are way more penises with foreskin than without.
b) a penis is dirty if it has foreskin – yea right and an unwashed cut one is clean? I've seen some pretty messy cut ones in my time so anyone who thinks circumcision keeps a penis clean is wrong. What keeps it fresh smelling and clean is warm water and soap and any guy, with or without foreskin, can enjoy his daily (or more often) ritual cleansing of the penis. Just that the uncut guys have more to enjoy.
c) how much better sex is if the guy is cut. Sure it is. Remove a pile of nice sensitive nerve endings in that foreskin and you will always increase the pleasure. I think not people. Sure foreskin can kind of get in the way a little for some activities but anyone who is interested in a penis and how it works will quickly discover how to use the foreskin to maximum pleasure. And believe me, all those extra nerve endings can create some pretty wild sensations. Now, I am not saying a cut penis cannot enjoy sex, more than foreskin can enhance it.

So, to those who have to brag that theirs is bigger or better or what-have-you, all I can say is do your homework and find out the truth of the matter when it comes to penises. All you have to do is open your eyes and you will see the whole picture and realize penis size makes no difference to sexual performance and foreskin is both natural and fun.
