Get a Mac: 5 of Our Favorite Ads [VIDEO]

Love them or hate them, the ads for Apple’s “Get a Mac” campaign have been incredibly successful. Last month, AdWeek named the series Ad Campaign of the Decade.

More effective at converting users than even the infamous “Switch” campaign, these ads have helped personify Apple as a brand to the culture. Although Apple has a selective archive of “Get a Mac” ads archived on its own site, AdWeek has one-upped them by putting together a page showcasing all 66 ads from 2006 – present.

Here are five of our favorites.

2006: Out of the box #4

My personal favorite ad of the series, Mac and PC compare the out-of-box experience.

2008: Sad Song (Long Version) #43b

Who doesn’t love to sing “The Vista Blues?”

2009: Legal Copy #54

How fanatical are Apple fans? The writers at MacJournals actually transcribed the legal copy that appears in this ad. Seriously. Hey, here’s to the crazy ones!

2007: Flashback #25

Mac and PC reminisce about elementary school.

2006: Better #1

The ad that started it all. I feel confident that no one involved thought the campaign would be so successful or so long-running.

What Do You Think?

The “Get a Mac” campaign has not been without controversy. PC (and even some Mac) users have complained that Apple plays fast and loose with certain facts or that the characterizations of Mac and PC are inaccurate. (Apparently there are some non-Mac hipsters out there.) Regardless, you can’t argue that the campaign has been successful and captivating.

Do you believe any conspiracy theory, or just the ones that bash Catholics?

For being so private, they sure give out lots of information, I mean if it were a big secret, they would deny there were any documents, much less tell how many miles of shelving are in there.

Do you think that the Jewish faith does not have libraries of historical and sacred Scripts? How about the Lutherans, even the Mormons? Heck, our local library in our podunk town has books that are not out in the open.

If you are in love it is clear that you romantically are loving someone. If you are in love you will see there is a great charm in the life. You will live every moment of life. You will enjoy the life. You will always think about your partner. On the other hand, if you are romantically loving someone then to whom you are loving he will feel as he/she is flying in the sky.
