Haha…real life …
I have trouble sometimes wondering why people get so upset over something that happens on a social network.
My best friend and I are friends on one of these…but neither of us has the other "displayed" in any way.
I mean…it is kind of silly to declare to a bunch of people online that this person is your friend…when you just had lunch with him.
The only way this website enhances our friendship is I do have trouble with verbal expression or often even direct written expression.
I sometimes will write a blog to tell him stuff…that I can't otherwise.

I don't have data from any research, but I can give you my opinion based on what I've seen. Like jurydoc said. A lot of human communication can not be duplicated in cyberspace. Oral communication is at best limited. Then of course you have people who are too busy to type an entire word so they use some kind of shorthand indistinguishable from a typographical error. Expecting everyone else to understand what the hell they mean. You also have the issue of cyber bullying. In my day a bully had to actually do their thing in your face. Giving you the option of an immediate retaliation. Usually physical, but that's beside the point. Now bullies can be anonymous. Giving them greater freedom for their cowardice.

It's a type of flash animation. If you are using a Firefox browser, you can download a browser add on from the internet called Flashblock. It will stop the annoyance, and will also stop all other flash based advertising etc. It has an option to make exceptions for sites you choose.

Disgust —————- for both the government AND the illegal immigrants….
The government should have begun aggressively taking care of this problem years ago instead of doing a half-a**** job of it, like so much they do.
The illegal immigrants should have taken the time and made the effort to be here legally. They need to be contributing to the US's resources instead of depleting them.
I know we have a great county and understand why so many would want to be here as opposed to their own countries. I welcome anyone who wants to be here! But they need to come here legally. Period.
