We’ve been eager to get our hands on the social media-center-software-turned-hardware Boxee Box since it was announced back in November. The fact that it was shaping up to also be cute as a button certainly played a part.
We had a chance to go hands-on with the device here at CES and also chat with CEO Avner Ronen in the videos below. The Boxee Box is officially Extremely Shiny, and its unique angular design will set it apart in the living room while remaining unobtrusive overall — a good fit for the home theater setup. We’re especially impressed with the choice to build a chatpad into the back of the remote control. It solves the problem of “How do I search?” without requiring an extra add-on or kludge — just the remote you already have in your hand.
Upon handling the remote, I remarked that the tactile feel of the keyboard reminded me a lot of the Xbox 360 chatpad accessory, which turned out to be more than idle comparison — Avner confirmed the remote was actually designed by the same team. The keypad was comfortable and the unit is a great size for holding in the hand and typing with your thumbs.
Check out the videos below and let us know if you’re considering a Boxee Box for your living room (or elsewhere). It will be out in the second quarter of this year for around $200 from partner D-Link.

Why Arabs are obsessed with the Holocaust?
Arabs want rewrite the history and show that Jewish State of Israel was created by Holocaust.
And if Holocaust did not happen, then Israel does not have to exist.
That's not true.
Tel-Aviv was established in 1909.
Lands in Hebron were purchased back in 1825…
Jews are majority in Jerusalem since 1845…

You can have just the chatpad hooked up, just the headset hooked up, or both at the same time! I bought it, but personally was not completely happy with it. It's really neat if I'm just sitting there sending out messages while I watch a movie or something. But if I'm playing a game, it's very uncomfortable and bulky right in the center. Prefer just the headset when I'm playing. Or I'll just manually punch in th e letters if I'm too lazy to grab the chatpad.
It is neat though, when you start typing, all the little letters light up, so it's very usable even if you're like me and prefer playing in the dark. Overall, I'd recommend it if you do a lot of message sending. As well they aren't too expensive in the end anyway. So Hope this helped your decision.

Even the US developed the first nuclear bomb under a cloak of secrecy. What country on the planet has developed one in open world view?
I agree, it is scary to think that Iran would be emulating Israels methods, but the bigger concern would be that Ahmadinajad is smart enough to do even that, and a lot of Americans can't see the threat that that poses to the planet.
