As already stated, I will say it the Exchange/Prefix according what country a people lives in.
Normally in America it designates a certain geographic area. Such as two different towns or things like that, within a State or Province.

A great way to start getting advertisers on your website is to sign up for Google AdSense. It takes care of having to find advertisers for you, manages the statistics those advertisers would want to see while allowing you to generate revenue from those ads. Check out to sign up and read about the requirements.

If you want to find advertisers yourself, identify the type of visitors on your site (demographics, location, etc) then seek out businesses that would appeal to that audience. Prior to calling potential advertisers make sure you have all your technical specs in order, statistics about your site ready, competitive rates and packages available and a system in place to provide them with reporting on their ad performance.

Best of luck!
