Hello! I have had a lab for 13 years and when she was young she was a MAJOR chewer that did exactly what your lab is doing. My family did a couple of things for her. First, we went to a butcher and got her a very large cow bone. I can't comment on if that's the right thing to do, but she never had any health problems or problems with her teeth, but she loved it and it lasted a very long time. The second thing we had for her was a rope with hard rubber 'stops' at each end so it wouldn't come untied. It was a very large piece of rope so the strands did not come loose and get in her teeth. She also enjoyed that very much and it lasted for about 8 months. Hopefully this will help some, labs can definitely do some serious chewing as you've already discovered.
