I am an art student at the Art Institute in Illinois and i am majoring in animation. A real good book i recommend is the animators survival guide. It show many positions and goes through walk cycles, and how to exagerate your characters to make them seem more real. Another good source is to just copy the ones you like. practice drawing like the road runner in many positions, then eventually try to draw him in your own poses. Also look up the original disney animators, they basically built the foundations of the entire animation world.
