Zynga Opens New Studio

Anybody who believes that games for social networks aren’t a big deal might want to investigate a recent real estate move and reconsider that opinion.  Zynga, which has made a name for itself making Facebook games, has opened a development studio in Los Angeles.

Chris Remo reported yesterday, “Located in Marina Del Rey, the studio will be San Francisco-headquartered Zynga’s second satellite studio.  Last year, it opened a Baltimore office spearheaded by Alpha Centauri and Civilization II designer Brian Reynolds, co-founder of Big Huge Games.”

And this development is plenty interesting enough on its own.  But an added piece of good news for developers is that Zynga is probably looking to hire.  No staff targets have been set, you see, yet some new people will likely be needed to fill a new space, and Zynga’s trying to grow, anyway.

If you live in the Los Angeles area, then (or would be willing to move there for the sake of a job), consider polishing your resume and sending it to Zynga.

If not, at least take Zynga’s good fortune as a positive sign for developers as a whole.

Nothing. I think that kind of synchronicity exists in the minds of people who are looking for it. If you do that you'll see the same kinds of "synchronicities" about almost everything everywhere.

EASY ONE… DW is a 5 categorey top 5 draft pick each year. He can go 30-30 any year if Willie turns him loose more. Aramis is nice but he has a bit of an injured past and he doesn't steal or hit for as high of an average as DW.

DO IT AND LETS GO METS!!!
