Ford SYNC Calls On Developers

Elektrobit (EB) is working with Ford to provide application developers access to the in-car infotainment system Ford SYNC.

The API acts as a programming interface for a particular phone platform, allowing software developers to create new applications for the vehicle, while taking advantage of the input mechanisms and vehicle data the Ford SYNC platform provides.

“Providing third-party developers of phone platforms with a Ford SYNC-enabled API will significantly help create new applications,” said Artur Seidel, vice president and general manager – Automotive Software, Elektrobit Inc.

“For example, it took only a few weeks to develop a phone demo application providing the vehicle occupants with Ford SYNC control of Pandora Internet radio stations. This is an application that I use on my phone and would like to see integrated with my vehicle’s infotainment system. The convergence between automotive and consumer devices that Ford SYNC provides keeps accelerating. We look forward to continuing our work as a technology partner to Ford.”

They can tell the IMEI number of any phone you use with your SIM Card. The first 6 digits tell them the model number and the rest identify the specific phone you are using. This makes it fairly simple for them to create a list of calls made from a specific type of phone.

This may seem like a waste of their resources to track the type of phone used for each call, but it is very useful in tracking the life of phones. This information can then be used in making decisions about upgrade programs, warranties, and marketing new models.

Turbo Tax is the best one that works with pretty much all financial institutions. You can directly import it into Turbo Tax.

1.a, 2. a, 3. b, 4. b, 5. d, 6. c, 7. c, 8. a

I think most of those are right. I haven't taken a driving test in 15 years. But I also haven't had a single accident or ticket in that time.
