You have devoted your life to teaching and you want to make use of the plethora of free teaching resources on the world wide web. Good for you! I bring you two sites that allow you to download teaching resources like lesson plans, printable materials for your class and much much more. Maybe you need a helping hand in keeping your material fresh or you want some hints towards successful lessons. If so, then these sites are for you!
If you have any other sites that you frequent that allows for free downloading or reading of materials to help you with your class please leave them in the comments at the end of the article so other teachers can benefit from your experiences.
The first site that we will be showing you is called A to Z Teacher Stuff. They not only offer ideas and materials but they also have tools that allow you to create CUSTOM worksheets and materials with your own touch so they are not the same thing these children have seen in every other class they have sat in.
When you get to their site you will see this:

Along the top, below the banner and introduction, you will see a heading that says Popular pages for TEACHERS. Under here you will see some awesome worksheet generators (as we just spoke about), Theme resource pages for specific months or holidays and other great pages like Science Experiments or Leveled Books Database.
Let’s look at the worksheet generator first.

Fill out the fields, click create worksheet and you will get this:

Next up we will scroll down a little more and see their menu:

We see all sorts of lesson plans, teaching tools and much much more all for free! This site rocks.
The next site we will look at to download teaching resources is called The Teachers Corner.

There is a menu along the right side of the screen that will show you lesson plans and other great tools. I clicked on lesson plans and continued on to view the submenu that contains the actual subjects like so:

I choose Technology (surprise, surprise) . That took me to a list of projects.

I choose the first lesson titled: Using Twitter In The Classroom and came to this:

You will find a video tutorial and quick ideas for using Twitter in the classroom! Ingenious. Going back and looking at the others in all the categories I realize this is a gold mine for people taxed at coming up with their own lessons and want some outside influence.
This site also has a “Teachers Lounge” where you can chat with other teachers looking for the same information. They have a section to help teachers find jobs and there is so much information in here you can really use it to get yourself revved up to teach.
All in all we salute teachers and think they make up the backbone of our social system. Without people teaching our children where would we be?

Umm, to be honest, I've no idea.
But if you get a decent answerer, I might try it out too.
It sounds like something I'd be interested in!
