i think u should follow ur heart and go out and be a rock guitar player.find some peices of rock music on the internet and see if u can play them. maby ask ur teach for some peices of rock music and practise those while u have got the chance. then maby as u get older u can find ur own band or maby someone will looking fo a rock guitar player and then u have got the chance to shine. that is if u actually perfom in front of a whole heap of people. so mabye take my advice into consideration or not but what ever happens ur friends and family will always beleive in u.

An "acoustic-electric" guitar will sound the same as just a regular acoustic guitar. The only difference between the two is that an acoustic-electric guitar can be plugged into an amp. My personal preference is the electric guitar. My reasons for electric guitar are:

- Ability to be set for distortion and clean
- More effects
- More accessories
- More comfortable on fingers

Starting on acoustic then progressing to electric is a very good idea (thats what I did). The acoustic will build up strength in your fingers and the electric will help you increase speed and accuracy.
