The theory remains the same for all pianos and keyboard – It just depends on preference. I would recomment getting at least 66 keys just so you have space to work with, but it's not necessary.
Some songs like "Apocalypse Please" by Muse require a full size piano to play just because the singer uses the full range of his piano.
So it all depends on your personal preference, I learned piano on a 66 key keyboard, before I'd even touched a piano. The only thing I would say is that if you are learning on a keyboard, playing a piano will be very different, mainly due to the pedals and weighted keys.
