It goes without question the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is the company’s most appealing mobile phone ever. How do we know? Andrew got some time with it last month in London at the company’s MWC 2010 event, and he’s been a changed man ever since. Well folks it looks like the Brits are in luck. We just caught wind that after officially announcing the HTC Desire and the Legend, Vodafone UK is now confirming availability for the new Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, with a release date stated for sometime April.

Of course, we know nothing regarding pricing or monthly data plans, but it’s good to know that we’re probably a month away from actually playing with the XPERIA X10.

For those out of the know, some of the most interesting specs for the high-end Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 are the large 4.0 inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) TFT touchscreen display and the 8.1 MP with autofocus, face recognition, geo tagging, image and video stabilizer, smile detection and touch focus. It has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 256 MB of RAM, Bluetooth 2.0 w/ A2DP and Wi-Fi (b/g) connectivity, a microSDHC card to excand the built-in 1GB of storage, along with aGPS support and microUSB 2.0 slot. More to it we’re hearing that when launched it will run the latest version of Google’s Android OS.
