Sony announced a new fully-packed home theater cabinet that comes already filled with a bunch of high-end Sony AV gear. The cabinet comes with everything you need for high-def on the go, as it includes a Blu-Ray Player, a high-def projector, headphones, active speakers, and a 60-inch projector screen.

I think that reading practice is probably the best thing, which I know is really no answer at all. Reading out loud may help, or using notes so that you know what the basic plot is before you read, helping you to pick out what the core meaning of the text is.

I doubt that the reading material varies by area much. My recollection of high school reading material is classics like "Catcher in the Rye", "To Kill a Mockingbird", "Animal Farm" and I bet those are pretty much standard anywhere.

For your information, though, Dearborn, Michigan, has a huge Arab population, surpassed only by the actual Middle East, so that might have some influence on the reading material. Not sure though.
