LCDs are expensive and the cost goes up very fast as the panel gets larger. The cost has slowly been coming down such that over time, you are now starting to see larger and larger panels.

I would but that Pioneer head unit will have a lot of power to run your door speakers. I use to have one. Wait till you get the deck you might like it without the amp.

sure sounds like a pulse generator fatiging and going bad. take a test light grounded to the negative battery terminal and see if your getting a flicker in the test light when you crank the engine over. you'll need to touch the area on the coils where the electrical wires attach. do not disconnect anything just gently manuever the end of the test light to the point where it makes contact with the wire connection. if the pulse generator is functioning correctly you will get a nice flicker on the test light. if they are going bad you will get very little or no flicker just a light.

Any recorder will work with your existing TV.

You should start your recorder selection with what your source is, rather than what your TV is. That way it will be easier to get it to work and have the best results.

I recommend you get a separate HD-DVR, either from your provider, or a 3rd party such as TiVo (if your source is antenna or cable).
Then choose a separate DVD record or DVD/Blu-Ray player.
