Shuttle has priced and shipped the latest iteration of the X50 line of all-in-one PCs for the US market.  The Shuttle X50V2, first revealed at CES 2010 in January, is on its way to stores in the US for $399.

The Shuttle X50V2 all-in-one pc features a 15.6-inch touchscreen display, a pinetrail-powered dual core Intel Atom D510 processor at 1.66GHz and up to 4GB DDRII RAM.  It has since added legacy parallel and serial ports to a wide range of standard connectivity like USB, headphone, microphone, LAN, etc. It features a simple design with the display and webcam facing the front and a carry handle on its top– all combining to weigh just 8 pounds.  It is passively cooled, meaning there is no internal fan system and no resulting noise when in use.

In spite of its rather attractive dual-core heartbeat and component offering, Shuttle is marketing the X50V2 as a “barebone” product.  It will sell for $399 in stores and online, where it is already marked as in stock at NewEgg.com.  For users that don’t run process-heavy tasks, the X50V2 is a solid option for around the house– recipes in the kitchen, how-to videos in the garage and basic entertainment for family.
