5 Feb 2010Samsung has a brand new Android phone, the M100S which is going to hit Korean stores next month. What’s more interesting about it is that the SHW-M100S will run Android 2.1 just like one of its Android rivals, the Google Nexus One.

I’d be more interested in the bada OS-based smartphones that Samsung is getting ready to unveil at MWC 2010 but Android 2.1 handsets will do too.
The Samsung M100S will come with features worth considering: 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, WiFi b/g/n, T-DMB TV tuner, 5-megapixel camera, 720p HD video recording, GPS, DivX support, 3.5mm headphone jack and Android 2.1 with TouchWiz UI on top. The device will probably be comparable to the Google Nexus One when it comes to specs but it appears that it won’t use those rumored integrated touchscreen AMOLED panels that are also coming next month.
SK Telecom is the carrier that’s going to sell this new Android machine in Korea. Besides support for Google’s Android Market, customers will be able to access SK Telecom’s own T Store for more Android applications.
Since the M100S will come with the much awaited Android 2.1 on board we imagine that Samsung will want to bring the phone to other markets soon. Even if that doesn’t happen we should see plenty of other Samsung-made similar devices hit U.S. and European markets later this year. After all even if bada takes off and receives a more than positive feedback from carriers and their customers Samsung can’t ditch at once Windows Mobile and Android phones, can they?
The MWC will start in less than two weeks and we can expect Samsung to launch quite a bunch of smartphones around the Spanish event. We’ll be waiting for more details in order to offer you a proper insight into Samsung’s smartphone roadmap for 2010, so stick around, folks!

resistive touchscreen works with tiny little dots, you can see them if you look close enough normally. resistive is truly touch screen, whether thats with your finger or not, capacitive works on the heat of your finger, so you cannot use a stylus, but this type nornally responds better

Part of Australia's national identity is the notion that we are an egalitarian society, that is, not heavily class structured. Now whether that is exactly true is debatable, however I realise this is not what you asked. I do think that this psyche though is important in realising the flexible ettiquette codes in regards to universities. Basically, the requirement is to be polite and respectful of the professers time and knowledge. Apart from this, classroom ettiquette is very lax. I've studied at two universities, and always have been encouraged to call lecturers by their first names- as you will find is pretty common in most aspects of Australian society eg. in the workplace. Here's a story from a recent new lecturer, telling us something or rather, he said "and now is when I usually get people putting up their hands and saying sir, what about x? and first of all I say their is no need to call me sir…" Also, you'll find a lot (not all) are quite open to light-hearted banter in a tutorial session. Again, a part of Aussie culture to stir someone up. However it generally regarded poor form to yell, cuss, interrupt, or make fun of a lecturer in a serious way, as is the case everywhere.
