Both. They're supposed to make life easier but actually complicate it in some ways. They solve old problems but create new ones. We get so frantic trying to use & pay for our gadgets. We waste hours on the internet & checking email. We have no privacy because we can always be reached on cellphones. Life was simple before technology.

If the camera has a transmitter on board, it is usual to have a wide band video receiver to pick up the camera picture, now you have the camera output the rest is easy, all you need is a hammer!
If the camera records the images, you just wait for the guy who collects the camera.

I know what you mean about Twilight, and the way it was written. That's why I recommend to JONATHAN STRANGE & MR NORRELL. This book is written ala Jane Austen and is highly acclaimed. It's also Susanna Clarke's best novel, which took her over 10 years to write. It's light and fun like Alice in Wonderland yet it is very engaging and fascinatingly well researched (fae lore) as well.
