But Big L didn't have as much time as Nas….but with everything given…its not even close.

The Most Recent Common Ancestor for human kind using a genetic model is assumed to have lived in the Upper Paleolithic period or the Late Stone Age (about 10,000 years ago). At this point in pre-history, great, great, great, and so on granddad was mastering the art of making flint tools and cave painting.

Using a statistical model, Rodhe, Olson, and Chang (2004) estimate that the MRCA lived between the third millenium BCE and the first millenium BCE. Rodhe, however, has pushed the date back to the 6th millenium BCE–about the time that human kind transitioned from being hunter-gathers to subsistence agriculture. All the same, he also theorizes the possibility of a MRCA living in the first or second century BCE, reasoning that European explorers of the 16th and 17th centuries fathered enough descendants to account for this fairly early date. The MRCA of all Europeans most probably lived as recently as CE 1000.
