News concerning the imminent apparent availability of the Android 2.1 for the HTC Hero comes courtesy of a member of the xda-developers going by the name of yrreP who states that they received the schedule of the Android 2.1 update to the HTC Hero/T-Mobile G2 via an email at work.

Of course, at this juncture, the details below, as provided by yrreP, are wholly unconfirmed be we have no reason to believe that these details are kosher and we’re far from alone in this respect.
