Hanvon TouchPad Tablet Shows Up [Multi-Touch Tablet Features Win7, 1080p Video, Core 2 Processor]

Imagines have surfaced of a great looking tablet out of China that is actually running a full desktop OS (and Flash – what a shocking idea) and features desktop grade hardware. It’s called the Hanvon TouchPad BC10C and it offers a ton of features, that could make this product a serious iPad killer.

Hanvon IdeaPad BC10C tablet

It features a 10-inch multi-touch screen, but unlike the iPad, it’s arranged in widescreen (16:9) which will make watching HD movies on this thing a blast. It’s running an Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor that will have a clockspeed of 1.3GHz. It’ll have 2GB of RAM and unfortunately, Intel integrated graphics (Tegra or ION would have really been nice here).

It will have either a 250GB or 320GB hard drive, and a forward-facing webcam. For connectivity, it will have WiFi and Bluetooth. No 3G, unlike the iPad, which I’m sure will be a deal breaker for some prospective buyers. It will have a ton of ports on the side, including two USB and HDMI and VGA video out. Another thing unlike the iPad, it has 8 physical shortcut keys on the bezel of the device. It’ll be interesting to see if tablet customers cry out for these buttons on their consumer tablets, I know several enterprise graphics tablets use them.

Overall, it’s a pretty sharp looking device that I think is better than the iPad in a few areas. It’ll hit China on March 25th for $877. Reportedly, it might be coming to North America and Europe. If it does, expect Hanvon to sell the product to another manufacturer as an OEM – they aren’t exactly a a well-known brand here.

Quad is faster. You have four 2.4GHz processors pretty much, compared to two 3.0GHz processors. That's 9.6GHz vs. 6GHz, also with each of the different cores getting it's own processing information, Windows can perform much better as well as your games.

Go with toshiba.

HP is a horrible brand! If you have a problem with that computer it will never get fixed. Go with toshiba, I have a tablet PC from them and its excellent, has the finger print login and a great graphics card.
