Acer Introduces Aspire AS5745 and AS7745 Notebooks [New Acer Notebooks Feature Sub-$500 Prices, 17-inch Display, Core i7 Processors]

27 Jun 2010Acer has taken the covers off of two new cheap value mainstream notebook computers. The Aspire AS6745 and AS7745 are the two new machines, and they’re both offering a lot of customizable features, multi-touch touchpads and Intel Core i7 processors.
The Aspire AS5745 is the first new laptop. It’s got a 15.6-inch display, along with your choice of a Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 processor. Graphics are provided by an NVIDIA GeForce GT 300M.
The Aspire AS7745 is a bit more at the high-end. It’s got a 17.3-inch display and comes with a Core i7 processor. It’ll have a big more graphics horsepower, with an ATI Radeon HD 5650. It has room for an optional second hard drive, and comes with a Blu-Ray drive.
Either laptop can support up to 16GB of RAM. Storage isn’t disclosed regarding the AS5745, but the AS7745, with the space for the second hard drive, can be ordered with up to 1TB of storage. The AS5745 starts at $900 while the AS7745 starts at $1400.
Acer’s also showing off a new ‘value line’. It’s got 15- or 17-inch laptops with ATI graphics and AMD processors, with some having Core i3 and Core i5 processors. Acer didn’t give a lot of information about these models, but they’re going to have upto 4GB of RAM and they’ll start in pricing at $429.99.

It maybe a hard drive disks that sort of speed from 30MBto amax: 300GB.

I would get an AMD 64. Pentium M is a laptop processor and therefore does not run as fast as the AMD. AMD 64 have better architecture and they are 64bit (Pentium M is not 64bit) which means it can transport data twice as fast a the Pentium M. Here is an examle of and Pentium M and here is an example of an AMD 64
As you can see they AMD has a faster clock speed and is close to the same price. Just do you self a favor and go with the AMD.
