20 Jan 2010For those that don’t already know Poser is 3D animation and rendering software developed by Smith Micro Software. It’s optimized for models that depict the human figure in three-dimensional form, mostly used to pose and animate the figures in a similar way as a mannequin. The 8th version of Poser allows you to easily create new characters from your facial photographs, dress Poser’s virtual stage with props, lights and cameras to construct 3D scenes, automatically generate walking or running animations and talking characters and much more. As you can imagine it’s quite a complex software to use, so some training videos can come really handy. These Poser Tutorial Videos to break learning this powerful application down into simplistic steps, even the more complex topics are reduced to easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions.

Poser 8 Training Videos offers over 7.5 hours of valuable lessons by accredited expert Dwayne Ferguson. Your diet should be determined by your family doctor or coach. It's not easy for strangers to suggest any..other than the typical "low-fat, high-protein, med carbs…divided into 6 small portions per day…depending on yr metabolism, age, health etc.

poser is probably the most basic one you can get.
I'd reccommend either getting one of those wooden mannequins and a George Bridgeman anatomy book, or, there's actually a 12 inch Spiderman action figure with something like 36 points of articulation. About 20-30 dollars or so, but I know a lot of artists who use it. It makes for a great posing reference (no flex or rotation in the muscles of course, but you can get a sense for the forms quite well.
Actually, most 3d programs like poser are quite awful when it comes to muscle deformations anyway, so the spidey action figure would probably be a million times better just because you can pose it so much faster and accurately.
