TorrIndex is the First Magnet-Only Torrent Index [BitTorrent]

In: Coding

As sites like the Pirate Bay move away from the hosting of download-directing .torrent files, magnet links, one of the pieces of BitTorrent’s future, are becoming more viable. Now there’s TorrIndex, a torrent search and listing site that only offers download-aggregating magnet links. While somebody still has to host .torrent files for files to get around, it’s intriguing to see the future of file sharing moving forward so quickly. [TorrentFreak]

The official Bittorrent application and utorrent are like 99% the same.

when you open the torrent with either program, you should get a pop-up box with a list of files in the torrent and tick-boxes allowing you to deselect files.

If this is not the case, go to "options > preferences > UI Settings" and then under "When adding torrents" select "Show a window that displays the files inside torrent", then hit ok!

Problem solved!

All the best

The Pirate Bay has a very large part to do with the problem of illegal downloading. The negativity comes from the accessibility and ease that they give to people who are not even experienced with p2p downloading. The majority of the content is copyrighted and for every download a few dollars don't make it to the pockets of those who make money off selling it. This site provides a concentrated place for anyone to download or (more importantly) upload content that would other wise take much longer or not at all to spread through smaller channels of communication. Sites like TPB do for illegal downloading online what Google or Yahoo did for legal means of finding what you want on the internet. As far as the legality of this activity in Canada…… well thats another question for some other time.

longer will be better
but be careful they are one of the most strongest magnets

neodymium magnets are very fragile. when smashed they break into small pieces and can go into the eye

they erase the memory of a floppy disk and credit cards

I don't believe that the people running The Pirate Bay have gone to jail since the decision is being appealed. As far as I've been able to tell, they're still running the site and it's still up so I'd say they still own it.

As far as using it or not, that's up to you and your conscience depending on what you're looking for.
