Install Boxee Beta on Apple TV [Boxee Beta]

The shiny new Boxee Beta is out for every platform except Apple TV, the platform we first used to cut out a cable bill. Some intrepid hackers have, however, created an unofficial installation method for that shiny, slim box.

Following the guide isn’t a beginner’s task—you’ll need SFTP access to your Apple TV, an SSH-capable terminal to work through, and be comfortable enough with either of them to navigate to your /Users/frontrow directory to do the installation work. That said, the process itself is just a step-by-step process for any Apple TV that was already opened up by a previous Boxee installation, and it doesn’t wipe out any media that you’ve got stored on your box at the moment.

Hit the link for the full walkthrough of a Boxee Beta installation on Apple TV. Need motivation? Check out our screenshot tour of the Beta to see what you could be streaming and exploring from your couch.

Those are electric transformer boxes. They are perfectly safe, as long as you don't try to crack it open and touch what's inside.

Basically, when electricity is generated in a power plant, the voltage of the current is huge. While large voltage is good for transfer over long distance, it's dangerous for home use and will fry anything you plug into it.

So, transformer boxes are used. Through the magnetic properties of electricity, I believe, the voltage of the electric current is reduced to a safer level that can be used in homes.

Transformer boxes do not emit any form of dangerous radiation (alpha or beta particles) or light waves (gamma rays normally grouped together with "radiation"). Since the boxes aren't constructed from radioactive material, there's no reason for them to.

forget everything you wrote. Wireless G is too slow to hold a good streaming connection from your pc to your tv. It will lag. good quality vide anyways. Use wireless N. hook up a computer to your tv, and play the video through the LAN.

The difference is marketing. The products are the same, the juice of apples. Usually if it it is filtered, it is labeled as juice, but not always.
