Windows only: If you find yourself stuck with multiple copies of the same Photoshop project, free utility ComparePSD might help—it quickly compares PSD files layer-by-layer, effect-by-effect to find the one you’re looking for.
If you’re lucky, you’ve learned the lesson “save early and save often”—and if you’re really lucky, you’ve learned to save a new copy each time, so if you make a mistake you can go back to an earlier draft. However, that creates a whole new problem when you don’t know which file is which—and no one wants to open each one up in Photoshop and look through the effects in each file.
ComparePSD lays these files out side by side and lets you compare the files layer by layer, so you can notice effects differences easier—with thumbnails to make it all the easier. It also integrates with the Windows Explorer context menu, letting you select files to compare straight from their folder. Plus, as of today, it’s free—and it certainly beats waiting for Photoshop to load.
ComparePSD is a free download, Windows only (although they are working on a Mac version as well).

start, search, files and folders, netcmd.exe. click on file and delete.
you may have to reload it from your os disk, if it requests the file afterwords.

.png will save if the background is transparent meaning the entire canvas. .jpg's will not save transparent, only .png's and .gif's

If you have all the records, then you probably have a chance. There are disclaimers to protecting companies from price mistakes.
Only way to have any luck is to appeal to them nicely. Let them know that you spent a lot of time researching the product, features and price. You waited for a good opportunity to buy the same. Because of this you let go of other opportunities. Also, since all the major sales for the year are over, there is no chance that you will be able to get the same at competitive prices that were available at that time. Thus you feel you are being hurt by company's mistake. If you have some data on the prices at competitors at the time you bought the product, you could refer to that as well. It is quite possible, if it was an expensive product the company may not agree. You can then negotiate a midway deal possibly and ask for some coupons and such if that would be useful for you.
Good luck,
