Stop Motion Inspiration Part II

In: web resources

7 Apr 2009

My first article on Abduzeedo was about the amazing Stop Motion Technique. For my anniversary I wanted to write another article about this Technique because there are plenty of great new videos coming out since then

In my first article you get information how to achieve this effect as well as programs to work on stopmotion ( mac and pc ). Some of this movies we already posted here but it would be a crime not mentioning the London (harder better faster stronger) movie or the London Stopmotion recreation.

London ( harder, better, faster, stronger )

London (harder, better, faster, stronger) from David Hubert on Vimeo.

I really wanted to make a video of London while I was there earlier this year but I didn’t had any camcorder, so I took pictures instead. In fact I took more then 3000 pictures and put them all together in less then 2 minutes. I mixed it with the track ”Harder, better, faster, stronger” from Daft Punk live record ”Alive 2007”

In this video you see my surroundings. Its my garden, i took 236 pictures with my Nikon D70. I tried to catch the summer mood. So I took the Guitar Solo from Brian Eno – Golden Hours. After I mixed it all up quickly, I added this nice colorful effect.

This Is Where We Live

This Is Where We Live from 4th Estate on Vimeo.

Welcome to our city – to our world – of books. This is where we live. A film for 4th Estate Publishers’ 25th Anniversary. Produced by Apt Studio and Asylum Films. The film was produced in stop-motion over 3 weeks in Autumn 2008. Each scene was shot on a home-made dolly by an insane bunch of animators; you can see time-lapse films of each sequence being prepared and shot in our other films.

Her Morning Elegance

Quiero ser tortilla

Quiero ser tortilla from citoplasmas on Vimeo.

A happy Mexican corn lives with a farmer and his pork. But the discovery of his transgénic identity will unleash strange adventures: will submissive Ear accept his programmed destiny?

We did this stop motion film to talk about making fuel from corns and transgenics.
We, Irene Iborra and Eduard Puertas, directed this film with te indispensable selfless help of all people shown in the movie credits. Many thancks to all of them.

Paperboy

Paperboy from Alexis Papageorgiou on Vimeo.

This was a collaborative project with Franz Krekeler. A short stop-motion film about a boy who can move things without touching them while working with paper. It took us 2 days to shoot and edit this video. There were more than 4 GB pictures we shot.

This technique is an extension of my other video The Persistence of Vision.
