linkedin_logoBuilding your personal brand on LinkedIn can be instrumental in landing you that perfect job. But in today’s social media savvy world, companies also need to focus on their online professional branding strategies for better recruiting. LinkedIn thinks they can help here too.

LinkedIn has just rolled out Custom Company Profiles to help you make your company profile shine bright and attract would be applicants with targeted content, better visibility, and more modules.

The new and improved company profiles allow for businesses to display relevant career-specific information within its own tab. So now instead of all the company’s information jammed on to one page, a job seeker can click the Careers tab to quickly get a tailored view of your online career center.

Less noticeable, but still key, are the updates available that create more meaningful connections between job seekers and companies, and you can thank LinkedIn’s new targeting functionality for that. As a company you can now create dynamic content that is targeted to specific audiences, and that content will be automatically displayed to profile viewers based on elements of their LinkedIn profile — industry, job function, location, and seniority.

Should you also want to engage with interested candidates and information seekers, you can also use the modules to spruce up your profile and gather feedback. Your company can use modules to create polls, highlight recruits and employees, and embed video clips.

We like the new LinkedIn Custom Company Profiles, and we hope to see the businesses that use the site for recruiting purposes embrace the changes. Is your company on LinkedIn? Tell us what you think about the enhanced profiles for companies in the comments.
