I also like my w580. Both are nearly the same thing (Some sites list them both under one article. For example: ), but the w580 is a bit newer and has some nifty gadgets that the s500 doesn't have (a pedometer, fitness applications, FM radio, "Walkman 'shake to change song'" feature, and the ability to use MP3 ringtones using your own songs).
