Okay, firstly you will need to apply for sewing lessons to get down the basics of using a machine. When applying for a course with some luck you might even come across a course which teaches you how to make handbags. Courses can often be found at fabric stores however sometimes you can find local sewing schools. Here are a couple of websites which might help you get a bit more of an idea:
